Welcome to Recovering After Sexual Assault, the fourth course in our trauma-informed wellness series. This module was created to help survivors understand common emotional, physical, and psychological responses to sexual trauma—and to provide tools, education, and validation to support the healing process.

Sexual assault can leave deep, lasting impacts. Survivors often experience confusion, fear, isolation, anger, or shame—and may not know how to process what happened or what comes next. The truth is: there is no “right” way to feel after an assault. Everyone’s experience is different, but no one should have to face recovery alone.

This course offers:

  • Information about what survivors commonly experience in the short- and long-term
  • Insight into how trauma affects the body and mind
  • Strategies for coping, building safety, and seeking support
  • Guidance on setting boundaries, managing triggers, and navigating conversations with others

You deserve to be informed, supported, and treated with care and dignity. This course is here to walk alongside you, one step at a time.
